What is TranquiliTea? ‘Tranquil’ meaning calm, and ‘Tea’, an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves While walking through Old Portsmouth, I had realized how quiet it was, but not in a uncomfortable way. It was soothing, calming even. Mental illness is quite common among students like me. I find drinking tea, doing physical exercise, and listening to the sound of the waves boosts my motivation and helps me find peace. I had imagined a place where you can do all of them, as they share common benefits (refer to magazine edition one). I also had an interest in learning, promoting, and embracing different cultures. I believe TranquiliTea is an oppurtunity to achieve this. It will serve it’s purpose and attract those suffering with common minor mental illness to find peace whilst increasing physical performace and well being. The Quebec House was just by the sea overlooking the beautiful ocean, this was a good place to start. 01 5
