The history of ear reflexology is an ancient practice dating back 3000-4000 years ago to Chinese and Egyptian medical work. Ear reflexology is based on zones or points in the ear that correspond to different parts of the body and meridians.

Ear yoga or ear reflexology is a fast-growing therapy that can be applied quickly and easily in situations or health conditions where other forms of reflexology may not be suitable.

Every ear in unique, like a fingerprint and can be “read” to reveal our inner nature. The ear reflexology points are similar to those in Auriculotherapy or ear acupuncture. This work more traditionally known since the 1950’s with Dr Nogier who first described the inverted fetus perspective of the somatotopic arrangement of auricular acupuncture points. Dr Nogier, of France, has received scientific support for his work. This has led to the World Health Organization to authorizing the standardization of the points on the ear in 1990. The benefits of this practice of appendage massage are endless. Auriculotherapy has been referenced as an offspring of phrenology and its benefits have been compared to other alternative healing modalities such as biofeedback, reflexology, acupressure, and chiropractic. Ear Yoga can be an easy-to-do self-care maintenance practice for simple relaxation and stress relief, as well as powerful healing support for various health and well-being needs. No tools or products are necessarily needed. The tissue of the ear is like the embryonic tissue so be very gentle. The harder tissues reflect the more skeletal and fibrous parts of the body, the inner belly of the ear reflect the torso and organs, the ear lobe reflects the face and head.

As a certified practitioner of Auriculotherapy, in my personal and private practice I combine the ear reflexology protocols, hypnosis and holistic coaching dialogues along with intuitive healing. This combination works the physical (reflex points), the emotional (energy stored in the body), the mental (facilitated dialogue and hypnosis to bring the unconscious conscious) and the spiritual (energy work and correlating reflex points) to bring about a full body/mind/spirit experience as well as sharing information to the client as a self-care tool you can continue to utilize on your own.

Although Auriculotherapy can stand alone as a modality with very few tools needed, I often combine this reflexology practice with aromatherapy, tuning forks, pressure point patches, Bach flower remedies, or any number of other possibilities.

Here are a few programs as a practitioner I have used that work with profound benefits in just a few sessions.

Chakra Balancing and Emotional cleansing; Smoking Cessation; Weight Loss and Food Cravings; PMS symptom alleviation; Stress and Improved mood; Prosperity, Money and Relationship Alignment; Intuitive and Spiritual Gifts and support.

Just a few common issues that Auriculotherapy can help you with by stimulating, massaging, or holding the correlating ear reflex points are:

1.Allergies & Sinus

2.Anxiousness

3.Hiccups

4.Sleeplessness and jet lag

5.Jaw and tooth pain

6.Digestive aggravations: constipation or diarrhea

7.Libido

8.Aches and pains

9.Balance and more
