Page 2 MARCH 2020 NEWSLETTER Technology Merit Badge Academy The ninth annual Technology Merit Badge Academy registration is now open. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN Over 3,000 scouts from three states and a half dozen Councils have attended the Moraine Trails Council signature event. Moraine Trails Council academy features professionals from local businesses in the fields related to the merit badge, such as engineers from Westinghouse teaching Nuclear Science merit badge and Sonneborn chemical engineers teaching chemistry. The March 28th event at BC3 Butler Campus is known for its hands-on kits and state of the art robotics classes. Off-site, Baglier GMC is hosting Automotive Maintenance with their service manager as lead teacher. Unlike many other Council’s merit badge academy’s, the You will never find as many qualified, perhaps overqualified, counselors in one location on one day. Some classes have prerequisites so please check the Council website for details.
