Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner a Special Event
The Moraine Trails Council
board and staff are looking
forward to recognizing the
Eagle Scout Class of 2019 on
March 19th at the White Barn,
Prospect.
This year’s guest speaker is
accomplished local Butler
Attorney Tom King, III. The
firm of Dillon, McCandless,
King, Coulter & Graham has
been a long-time supporter and
counsel for the Moraine Trails
Council, BSA.
Attorney King is an Eagle
Scout with an important
message he would like to share
with our new Eagle class.
The 2019 Eagle Scout Class is
free to attend and will receive a
commemorative patch for their
class if they attend. The
evening culminates in a
memorable ceremony. Scouts
and other attendees must
register online.
We hope troop leaders will
help us promote this special
evening.
Registration closes March 15.
Only 4% of all
Scouts reach the rank
of Eagle. Celebrate
the best that Scouting
has to offer!
Guardian Knight Youth Protection Recognition
The Moraine Trails
Council will continue
to deliver a safe and
high-quality
Scouting experience
for Scouts and their
families.
The purpose of the program
is to recognize unit leaders
and committee chairs who
make youth protection and
safety a top priority in their
unit through education of
unit leadership by using the
Guardian Knight Program in
the unit.
A special patch is awarded to
leaders who complete these
simple requirements.
Qualifications:
1. All leaders in the unit take
the BSA Youth Protection
online training during
Youth Protection/Child
Abuse Prevention month
this April.
2. The unit leader and
committee chair have
attended basic training for
their position or
completed online training
(Pack and Crew leaders).
3. Complete the Guardian
Knight form online and
the unit leader will be
presented the patch at the
Council Program Kick-off
or mailed to them if they
miss the kick-off.
