Male clothes As for men's costumes, they can be divided into two categories: daily and festive. In each of them the reasons that have determined or influenced them are reflected. The men's suit also refers to that typical of the nineteenth- century people and consists of: a white cotton shirt; ribbed waistcoat in black velvet with black buttons and a small buckle on the back; from a red handkerchief placed on the neck or on the head, if used during the grape harvest or the wheat harvest, to ensure that all the sweat is kept and dried by it; and finally from the trousers always ribbed in black velvet, called Sicilian "causi" long up to the knees with openings on the sides and narrow by a button, without opening in front but on the sides, which is then combined with a wool band at the waist red or yellow color that acts as a 'panzera'.
