Nd:YAG Lasers
Nd:YAG Lasers
Nd:YAG is the acronym for yttrium
aluminium garnet (YAG) and is a
synthetic crystal material which
became popular in the form of laser
crystals in the 1960s.
With a frequency of 1064nm, like the
vanadate lasers, they produce high
quality, high speed marking on a
variety of substrates.
The key features of the Nd:YAG
laser include:
Ÿ Marks metals, plastics, foils and
ceramics
Ÿ Easy to integrate into production
lines
Ÿ Highly flexible
Ÿ Minimal maintenance required
Ÿ Thermo electrical air cooling
system comes standard with the
machine
The Nd:YAG laser is a good
alternative to traditional marking
systems because of its flexibility and
minimal maintenance requirements.
