Ackee and Saltfish:
Whether you prefer it with fry/boil dumplings, yam
or even rice, we could not leave out the national
dish. This meal is a signature breakfast item for
Jamaicans and is mostly eaten on Sunday morn-
ings when the biggest and most filling breakfast
is prepared. For our vegans, they can enjoy ackee
on its own.

Sorrel:
For the drink, we chose Sorrel. This popular beverage is
a must in homes at Christmas time. The drink is usually
spiced with Rum, but can be enjoyed on its own with a little
ginger and Pimento.
Best Place to get this drink: At home, made by a family
member or try the Tru-Juice brand if you somehow get a
craving for it during the summer or other times when the
plant is not available.
