A Trip to Sharkie’s WITH JASANNA Sharkies Seafood Restaurant located in the tourist centric area of Salem Runaway Bay was worth the drive. Upon entering, one is hit with the clean, salty scent of the beach and the rhythmic wave of the caribbean breeze, ushering you to indulge in “real good” seafood. It is always an A in my book to have seafood by the sea. On entering we were seated and offered water and menu books. When it was time to order, we had to select the fish that we wanted to be prepared. The customer service was on point, the presentation of the food was colourful and we started eating with our eyes first. We had Steamed Fish, Fried Fish, Festivals and peppered shrimp. The meals came in a timely manner and we were definitely pleased with that. But seeing that the eyes alone will not please the appetite or fill our stomachs, let me invite you to join the taste test. Let me start with the steamed fish “it did bad”, it was filled with freshly cut vegetables; the seasonings they used tasted natural and not too salty. The Fried fish was also really good. I was never a fan of peppered shrimp however I must say for the first time i enjoyed eating it. I would recommend Sharkies and definitely encourage you to try the steamed fish.
