FROM THE
In this season of Goodwill Give the Gift of Love
Tis the season of giving and the music, the trade winds, the smell
of dark fruit cake laced with rum and raisins baking in ovens, the
sorrel and the feast that is reserved for this time of year is upon us.
It is true that some may be able to give expensive gifts to show
how much they care but it is equally true that some will not have
the disposable income to do so.
Don’t be disheartened as the most precious gift that one can
give this season is the gift of love. How do we demonstrate love?
In small acts of kindness, in being present (pun intended), in
giving of ourselves to those most in need without any thought of
reciprocity.
Is there someone in your community that you can reach out to
today? Is there someone to whom you can lend a hand, or put a
smile on their face? Don’t hesitate to do so or be weary in doing
good; I assure that in bringing joy to someone else your joy will
be multiplied.
As you celebrate the season I wish you and your families the gift
of love. I leave you with a thought from Mother Teresa who said:
Let us not be satisfied with just giving money.
Money is not enough, money can be got.
But they need your hearts to love them.
So, spread your love everywhere you go."
