AMI Meter Installations Underway

The Town of Jupiter Utilities Department is currently installing new advanced metering infrastructure( AMI) throughout its service area, with the full system scheduled to be implemented by April 2028.
As installations continue, customers are reminded to maintain at least 3 feet of clear space on all sides of their water meters by trimming vegetation and removing any landscaping, debris or other obstructions that may prevent access. The Utilities Department will conduct inspections, and customers with obstructed meters will receive a 90-day notice to clear the area.
Keeping water meters accessible will help crews complete installations safely and efficiently as this systemwide upgrade continues.

Town Receives More Than $ 410,000 for Water Quality Improvements

The Town of Jupiter has been awarded more than $ 410,000 in state grant funding to support two stormwater improvement projects near Center Street.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection awarded the Town $ 241,794 for the Seminole Basin project and $ 169,100 for the Alma’ s Place project. The funding was secured through the Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative and the Town’ s appropriations request to the Florida House of Representatives as part of the FY 2026-27 legislative budget process.
Both projects will improve stormwater drainage and water quality, helping to reduce flooding, limit nutrient runoff into the Loxahatchee River and restore natural habitat.
