New trends in a Wedding Showroom
Cartagena de Indias is an important tourist destination where many events take place annually. It is also a favorite destination for sophisticated weddings. For that reason, fourth semester students took advantage of the space offered by Hotel and Tourism Administration Program to share trends in tables, chairs, flower arrangements and bride's dresses, and to encourage the attendants to know the language of the wedding planner organizers.
The event was held on November 18th, 2016, in the Unicolombo auditorium, in Cuatro Vientos, and the presentations were divided into two groups: a group that explained everything related to the organization of weddings and another group that shared the results of a research which results demonstrated why Cartagena is a preferred destination for local, national and international events.
This meeting was an initiative of the Organization of events' professor, Roger Agresott, who has been encouraged the students to gain awareness of entrepreneurship in this type of business. In addition, the socialization was complemented by a central table setting and a wedding table, and the presentation of a student who performed a song accompanied by another student who played the cello.
Finally, the representatives of Asotelca Atlantico, Sally Aduen, and Asotelca Guajira, Adiela Gómez, shared their professional experiences and talked about the importance of becoming entrepreneurs to discover many opportunities.
