Ecuador was the host destination for the 2018 international academic travel. From November 24th to December 3rd., a group of 8th and 9th semester students and the professor Roger Agresott visited Quito and Ibarra.
The first day in Quito, they took a city tour to descover the main monuments and atractions of the city, such as: Basilica of National Vote, Independence Square, Church of the Company, El Panecillo and Copaxi, one of the most active volcanos in the world.
The students and Professor Roger Agresott arrived to Procolombia office, where they were offered the training: "How to sell a Tourist Destination". Mónica Patricia Salinas, the Tourism Advisor, who explained the promotion of Colombia in Ecuador and about the type of Ecuadorian tourist that use to visit Colombia.
Salinas also explained the role of low cost airlines and the way the ecuadorians are increansingly interested in colombian tourist products. The students showed their interest in this training asking some questions.
Salinas emphasized the Unicolombo's efforts to organize this academic trip and also said that Unicolombo was the first university to know that ProColombia was going to change its promotional campaign, inspired in a traditional colombian song. She also gave some souvenirs to the students.
