TOURISM TODAY
Tourism as an economic activity which generates social and cultural impact grows every day at an accelerated pace, which means that society and tourist destinations are interested in this activity on a daily basis. It is a challenge for the academy to keep the professionals of this field of knowledge updated as well as develop not only an academic pensum according to the trends and the progress of the tourism, but also an updated curriculum that allows answering these demands.
The Tourism and Hospitality Management program develops new curricular and extracurricular proposals that lead the students to keep abreast of trends and opportunities offered by this industry.
The challenge now is to keep the students motivated to study and participate of the growth of this great industry, taking into account that tourism as a sustainable activity requires people who are conscious of the challenges of being a responsible professional who is already aware of this and looks forward to benefitting the community and the tourist destination.
That is why this new version focuses on activities that strengthen the skills of both students and teachers and also the dynamism of national and international student mobility in order to guarantee the commitment to innovation, contribution and the development of tourism, without losing the identity and the proper use of resources.
This is just a taste of this issue. Have a wonderful reading of it.
