TOURISM TODAY
Editorial
It is a really pleasure to share one more time through this space, important experiences as result of different strategies built by our students and professors that impact their own lives and that of this important community.
In this opportunity we will like to introduce the relevance of technologies in the Tourism and hotel sector that are no longer negotiated in the industry, becoming also a trend that evolves without warning. Consistent with this, the Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management has developed some actions that strengthen the training of students tending to good sustainable practices and the use of applied technologies.
In these different spaces, we seek to place the academic community in context, enjoying the student's bets and the change that can not be avoided. Within the framework of the celebration of World Tourism Day, articulated with the motto of the World Tourism Organization for this year "Tourism and Digital Transformation", spaces of open and burning discussions and conferences were generated around the theme of disruptive Technologies that encourage the reflection of new ways of doing things.
The responsibility for the use of technologies in recent times, generates transformation in the different sectors of the tourism industry, such as the technologies used by hotels to make the guest's stay more pleasant and improve processes; an example of this is the Channel Manager that allows efficiency by avoiding overbookings in real time. The communicative technology experiences that are currently used in travel and on e-commerce platforms make easier today's tourist choice.
Finally, I just want to thank our readers of Tourism Today and invite you to follow the next edition.
Best Regards!
