N E W S / NAT I O NA L BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER TO INDIA PROPOSED UK-INDIA COOPERATION IN TOURISM SECTOR Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India, expressed his keen interest in cooperation between the UK and India in the tourism sector and expressed his happiness over the World Bank's willingness to help in rebuilding Kerala while at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. Mr. P. Sathasivam, The Kerala Governor hoped that the UK government would take necessary steps to increase facilities for Indian students who are planning to go to Mr. the UK for higher studies. As Chancellor of the Universities, Sathasivam also promised all help to British students who wish to pursue education in Kerala and to learn more about the State. Mr. Dominic Asquith was accompanied by Jeremy Pilmore- Bedford, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai and Rudy Fernandez, political adviser. He also expressed keen interest in having more cooperation between the UK and Kerala in Tourism.
