first edition of Kochi Biennale was
organized in 2012, and it exhibited
works of 89 artists from 23 countries
around the world.
Kochi-Muziris Biennale is
an international exhibition of
contemporary art which conducts
seminars, workshops and educational
reform programmes and is also the
biggest of its kind in the whole of Asia.
The exhibition has benefited Kochi the
most by giving it a prominent space in
the maps of the International Biennale
fests. The public funding of Kochi
Biennale can be seen as an investment
for encouraging more creative
innovations. The events this year will
be held at multiple venues across Kochi
such as Aspinwall House, Cabral Yard,
David Hall, Pepper House and so forth.
