The Elkford Arts Studio has been proudly promoting arts and culture in the community since 2014 . The studio operates through the Elkford Arts Council Society , a registered non-profit , and is run entirely by volunteers . Its mission is to provide the Elk Valley with a range of classes and workshops – suitable for artists of all ages and abilities – including painting , pottery , drawing , glass mosaic , wood burning , wool , charcoal , crochet , felting and more .
ABOUT THE STUDIO
Located on the second floor of the Elkford Recreation Centre , the Elkford Arts Studio is a bright , welcoming , inclusive , and wheelchair-accessible place for users to create and connect . The space hosts year-round classes and workshops with local artists , and it features a full-service pottery studio and ample art supplies for many mediums . Drop by the studio on the last Monday of each month from 6:30 to 9pm , for Mixed Media Mondays . This free , dropin program for adults and youth ( ages 16 +) aims to promote mental health and artistic expression . Join in a guided activity or just enjoy the company of others - no membership or artistic experience required .
JOIN THE ELKFORD ARTS STUDIO
Annual memberships are available through the website and cost $ 50 for adults and $ 35 for youth / seniors . Members receive discounts on most regular programming and direct access to using the studio ( a discounted daily drop-in fee applies ), and membership fees go directly to supporting the ongoing operations of the studio and EACS .
