Tom Dumoulin was back at the Giro in the spring, but is planning to ride the
Tour. Can he be a contender in both races? Yes, he proved this last year by
fi nishing in second place in both events. The Sunweb team is well-rounded
and strong, with riders such as Michael Matthews, one of the few capable
of challenging Peter Sagan for the green jersey, Wilco Kelderman, always
solid in the mountains, Paris-Tours winner Søren Kragh Andersen, and Sam
Oomen, a candidate for the white jersey. It can aim to put Dumoulin in the
yellow jersey in the team time trial and keep it for a while.
