I hasten to add, though, that this fi nale has a new look as the climb has been extended by about a kilometre, so that it not only fi nishes higher than before but also tackles some brutal ramps of up to 24%! This should mean that the general classifi cation starts to take shape. It is even possible that the late combination of the Col des Chevrères and La Planche des Belles Filles, coming aft er the Grand Ballon and the Ballon d’Alsace, might knock several leaders, or supposed leaders, out of contention! TIMETABLE To ride HIGHER THAN EVER! KILOMETRES 105 119 141,5 95,5 113,5 129,5 151 101,5 123,5 137,5 FINISH LINE at the end of a fi nal straight of 100m at sight, and aft er a fi nal climb of 7km at 8.7 %.
