Final Instructions
RACE INFO
Congratulations on entering the Totalsports Women ’ s Race Durban ! Here are your final instructions before you line up on 4 August 2024 .
RACE PACK COLLECTION & EXPO
1 . Race Pack Collection & EXPO will be held at The playTsogo Globe ( previously known as The Globe ), Suncoast Casino , on the following days and times :
• Friday 2 August ( 10:00 – 19:00 )
• Saturday 3 August ( 10:00 – 17:00 ) Note : No Race Pack Collection on event day , or thereafter .
2 . Parking is available to race entrants during Race Pack Collection in the parking areas at Suncoast . This will also apply on race day .
3 . Before arriving at Race Pack Collection , ensure you have the following with you :
• The SMS confirming your entry and race number .
• Your ID or Passport card or any other identification document .
4 . If you are collecting on behalf of another runner , you need to bring along the following :
• Confirmation of entry .
• An authorisation letter , confirming that you may collect their race pack on their behalf .
• The SMS confirming their entry and race number .
• A copy of their ID or Passport , or any other identification document .
5 . Once you have completed the registration process , we encourage you to enjoy the EXPO experience .
RACE NUMBERS
1 . The race number that you collect at Race Pack Collection must be worn at all times on race day , and without alteration , with the following provisos :
Club Runners
• Display your ASA licence number on the front and back of your club vest or T-shirt .
• Place the event race number over the front ASA licence number , with the header of the ASA number visible .
Non-Club Runners
• Display your race number on the front of your T-shirt .
• Display your ASA temporary licence number on the back of your T-shirt .
Note : You may not attach your race number to your running shorts .
2 . You may not transfer your race number and / or timing chip to another runner . Any runner who is found guilty of breaking this rule will be banned from the race for one year , in addition to being disqualified from the current year . This is an important safety measure and in the interests of your safety !
TIMING CHIP
1 . Your timing chip is attached to your race number and linked to your personal profile .
2 . Your chip is not transferable to another runner , as it is personalised for your use only .
3 . The timing chip is to stay on your race number . Do not attempt to remove it .
4 . Remember to attach your Race Number to your running vest / T-shirt before you leave for the race to prevent it being left at home .
5 . No chip , no result – no exceptions .
ROAD CLOSURES
1 . Please take note that a number of roads in and around the race venue and route will be closed and access will be controlled for the duration of the Totalsports Women ’ s Race Durban , and this may affect your access to and from the event . Please arrive early to avoid any delays .
TOG BAGS
1 . There will be complimentary tog bag drop and collect facilities in the Race Village . There will be assistance to guide you through the process of dropping off and collecting your bag .
2 . Tear off the tog bag tag from your race number and attach it to your tog bag before handing it over to the tog bag staff . Remember to have your race number with you after the race , when collecting your bag .
3 . Please do not bring valuables to the event .
