5.3 A dedicated area for club gazebos will be located in the Middle Campus Entertainment Zone. This is where you can catch up with your clubmates and enjoy the post-race atmosphere with great company, food, and entertainment. We recommend checking with your club in advance to confirm your gazebo location.
5.4 Middle Campus is also the ideal place to arrange a meeting point with family, friends, and supporters, as the finish area can become very congested, making it difficult to locate one another.
6 PRIZEGIVING
6.1 A short prize-giving ceremony will be held for the top three male and female athletes in both the Ultra Marathon and Half Marathon. These ceremonies will take place near the finish at the following times:
• Ultra Marathon: 10h00 on Saturday 11 April
• Half Marathon: 08h00 on Sunday 12 April
6.2 A full Prize Awards Ceremony will take place at 17h00 on Sunday 12 April at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel.
7 SHUTTLE SERVICE
7.1 A free race-day shuttle service will operate between the finish venue at UCT and the various designated parking areas.
7.2 The start and end point of the circuit route for the shuttles will be the UCT Upper Campus North Stop, which is opposite the P6 parking area, just a short walk from the finish area on the UCT rugby fields.
7.3 The shuttles will pass these set drop points:
• UCT Middle Campus( club gazebo area)
• Mowbray Bus Terminus
• Corner Sandown and Campground Road
• Groote Schuur Primary School
• Groote Schuur High School( access to Newlands Train Station as well)
• Sans Souci Girls School – Main Road
• Corner Main Road and Dean Street
