THE FINISH
1 VENUE MAP
1.1 The Finish for both the Ultra Marathon and Half Marathon is on the UCT Rugby Fields, Upper Campus, alongside the M3 highway.
1.2 After entering the UCT grounds, runners will swing to the left before entering the final straight on the rugby field grass.
1.3 After crossing the finish line, runners will receive their medals and cold refreshments, and will then exit the finish area.
1.4 The Cipla Recovery Zone will be straight ahead, at the end of the second rugby field. To the left of that will be the Blue Number Club Marquee hospitality tent, and to the right will be the tog bag collection point( look for the trucks).
1.5 To get to the Middle Campus Entertainment Zone and the club gazebo area, runners will turn sharp right after exiting the finish area and head towards the subway crossing under the M3, then follow the signs from there.

2 MEDALS
2.1 All official finishers will receive medals at the finish line.

3.2 The ribbon mount is made from plant-based materials, helping to reduce single-use plastic while celebrating your run in a more sustainable way.
4 BLUE NUMBER CLUB
4.1 Earning Your Blue Number
• If you are running your 10th Ultra or Half Marathon, you will race with a Yellow Number.
• Your official Blue Number will be awarded at the finish line, provided you complete the race within the official cut-off time( batch gun-tomat).
• If you are earning your Blue, Double Blue, or Triple Blue Number, please make your way to the right-hand side of the finish line. Marshals will guide you to a designated area where your permanent Blue Number will be officially awarded and photographs taken.
4.2 Exclusive Benefits Blue Number Club( BNC) members enjoy access to a range of exclusive benefits and premium experiences at the Finish:
• Post-Race BNC Marquee: Access a private Grab‘ n Go area with refreshments and snacks after the race.
• Cipla Recovery Zone( BNC Area): A dedicated recovery space with minimal queues, offering optimal post-race care.
5 MIDDLE CAMPUS ENTERTAINMENT ZONE
5.1 The Middle Campus Entertainment Zone, on the UCT Cricket Oval, is the perfect place to join clubmates, fellow runners and supporters, to unwind and celebrate your well-earned medal in style. Middle Campus is a short walk from the finish venue, by crossing under the M3 using the subway.
5.2 Facilities will include:
• Club Gazebo Zone
• Heineken Beer Garden
• A variety of popular food vendors
• Live entertainment from our official radio partner, Heart FM, with DJs keeping the energy high.
