This is the 53rd running of the Ultra Marathon since its inception in 1970 , and the 25th edition of the Half Marathon . We are proud to bring you this prestigious road running event that is considered one of the highlights on the Western Cape ’ s event calendar . share our commitment to enhancing the runner experience , and this ethos underpins what we stand for as an event . We could not ask for a better alignment than with these partners .
The TTOM contributes a massive R650 million to the local provincial economy annually , which makes it Africa ’ s biggest running event , a fact that we are very proud of . We continue to support local producers , suppliers and innovators , and we thank all the partners , suppliers and volunteers who work with us to make this iconic event possible .

In the midst of one of the most beautiful sceneries in the world , the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon once again welcomes the world to the Mother City .
This legendary race has indeed stood the test of time . Thousands of athletes continue to flock to Cape Town to pound the road in search of glory and conquer one of the country ’ s most brutal ultra marathons . The 56km of super climbs and sometimes lonely stretches and sudden slopes are certainly no joke , but athletes keep coming back .
We have no doubt this will be another incredible run for the City of Cape Town , the runners , coaches , organisers and the entire Athletics Family .
