International and African entries for TTOM 2022 close when capacity is reached . Enquire at Expo should you need a last-minute TTOM 2022 entry .
INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP RUN
Unfortunately this event is cancelled for TTOM 2022 due to the constraints brought about by the pandemic and governing legislation in the form of the Disaster Management Act . Normally , all International and African entrants can also enter the International Friendship Run when they collect their race numbers from the Expo . This free 5.6km jog starts and finishes at the V & A Waterfront , and passes some of the city ’ s most famous landmarks , including the Cape Town Stadium , Sea Point Promenade , Green Point Park and the Green Point Lighthouse in Mouille Point .

LITTERING
Littering at any point of the race – start , along the route or finish – will not be tolerated . Runners who litter will face disciplinary measures .

MEDICAL EMERGENCY NUMBER
Please note that the official medical emergency telephone number for the race has been updated , so please write down or memorise this number , and save it your phone , in case of a medical emergency during the race : 021 203 5911 .
MEDICAL AND PHYSIO STATIONS
A team of medical doctors and first aiders will be stationed at five medical stations in the Half Marathon and 10 stations in the Ultra Marathon along the route and at the finish to look after runners in the event of an emergency . There will also be physio stations on the route if you need a cramp massaged . These medical volunteers will be positioned at clearly marked locations along the route – turn to page 64 for a full list of the exact locations of these medical stations .
MUSIC
There are a number of entertainment spots along the route at various refreshment points , some with bands and some with DJs , to provide a good vibe and help to keep the runners going . Feel free to dance or sing along ! Please also note that any excessively loud music played in backpacks , through music players or car radios by either participants or supporters needs to be moderated in compliance with the City of Cape Town bylaws .
NUTRITION
Please fuel up appropriately prior to the race - there is no nutrition . Unfortunately this was necessitated by the COVID-19 Risk Management Strategy and the need to comply with our approved event framework . Coffee will be available for sale at the start but not at the finish , although you will be provided with Coke , Powerade and Water .
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
It is imperative that runners fill in the medical information on the back of their race number . Should you require hospital treatment or ambulance transport , this information could prove vital , notably if you have any allergies or existing conditions , and you will be charged according to the hospital tariff rate . On a related note , information relating to runners who have been admitted to the Medical Tent will be available at the Information Tent next to the finish .
MEETING PLACE AT THE FINISH
Ahead of race day , please make sure you arrange a specific meeting place to meet your supporters at the finish . No gazebos and limited structures have been approved for TTOM 2022 , due to ongoing COVID management risks and the need to comply with efforts to offset these risks . Therefore , runners will unfortunately be strongly encouraged to clear the Finish Area after crossing the finish line and receiving their medal .
MISUSE OF RACE NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS
Runners may not transfer their race numbers and / or timing chips to other runners . Any runner who is found guilty of breaking this rule will be banned from the race for one year , in addition to being disqualified from the current year . This is an important safety measure and in the interests of your safety !
