there ’ s a lot of some it will start is that because its solely my vision , s stay , and go and t there , which is er than a group mpromise . I listen ou know , I really tuff that ’ s really ou know , that create my own sh the boundaries ic I really wanted k because I have and he made pop structured , incredible , edgy music . It ’ s filled with hooks , and I love hooks . I ’ m about hook after hook after hook . I really try to push the envelope . Sometimes a melody will vocally come naturally , and it ’ ll be really amazing , but sometimes , I rewrite . Sometimes , there ’ s three or four different choruses or 10 different choruses before the right one is reached . It ’ s got to just feel , and look right , it ’ s all subjective , but for me and my tastes , I ’ ve got to be happy with it , but at a point where it moves me . I don ’ t just sign off on something that ’ s like an eight out of 10 . My standards are to get it to where I think it ’ s a 10 out of 10 , And I ’ m pushing the envelope . I ’ m not competing with anyone but myself . I ’ m not looking outside of myself in my realm , because that ’ s the outside of you . It should be inspiration – the only competitors should be yourself . You should always be raising the bar for your previous work . I think that there ’ s people out there that go wrong – where they ’ re just focusing so much energy outside on jealousy and competitiveness . I don ’ t like that side of things . And so yeah , it ’ s all about that .
