Another great way of developing as a coach, even though they say football talks any language you still have to say something from time to time! Having to have someone translate your words particularly when some words could have a different meaning in another country or that word/football jargon we often use here in the UK may not even be translatable or exist in that country the players originate from!

Ever tried coaching through a interpreter?

Yes it's been a great summer of learning for me. What have I learned? Start simple have a couple of sessions ready to use Plan A and B and don't be scared to adapt if you find yourself applying the wrong plan. Maybe I was fortunate that the groups who came over this year all applied themselves the way we dream our topics will go when we are being assessed for our licenses, that I never had to deviate away from plan A with any of the groups.
