Central Gubernator For Central Make A Difference Day, OJCLers
helped out at the Childhood League Center’ s Kids4Kids shopping event. The event was from 9am to noon on November 15, 2025. We helped people pick out clothes, toys, books, and household goods, carry them to their cars, keep the tables organized for browsing, watch after some of the shoppers’ young children, and also cleaned up after the sale ended. Thank you to the 24 students who attended, and extra special thanks to Ms. Bening of Columbus Academy for organizing the event. Hope to see you all at the next MADD!

2025’ s Make a difference day, was set at the
Cleveland Kids Book Bank. The Westlake and Shaker Heights’ s Latin programs came together to send 7 students to help clean out and sort through old donated books. Volunteers had the opportunity to donate books themselves while a few even went home with treasures of their own. It was a nice reminder how children’ s books are an important gateway to progressing child literacy and possibly even sparking an interest in the Classics. The books that were deemed fit to be donated will be sent out to families in Lorain and Cuyahoga county. Hopefully these books will inspire the youth of today to keep cultivating their interest through reading.
