BROOKFIELD ACADEMY UPDATE
This year, in the spirit of March madness festivities, the
Brookfield Academy Latin Club participated in BolchazyCarducci Publishers’ Martia Dementia 2016 contest. The
competition pitted 64 ancient authors, philosophers, and
politicians against each other to win the ultimate champion
title. From these figures each school picked a bracket of
names that they hoped to see advance. Each day students
voted using an online survey for the names listed on their
school’s bracket. After every round the ancient with the
most votes advanced in the race. This year BA took first
place, winning $100 in book credit, after voting for Homer
as “champion of the Medit W'&
