At the 62nd National Junior Classical League Convention, Ms. Catherine Sturgill, NJCL Publicity Chair, announced the results of the Publicity Contest. The publicity contest ranks schools on the amount of publicity they achieved over the past year. We thank all those who submitted this year and strongly encourage more to submit next year. The results were as follows:

1. Miramonte High School, CA; 2. Baton Rouge Magnet High School, LA; 3. Riverbend High School, VA; 4. Crown Point High School, IN; 5. Clearview Regional High School, NJ; 6. Woodbridge High School, CA; 7. Master’s Academy High School, NC; 8. Mountain View High School, GA; 9. Master’s Academy Middle School, NC; 10. Reagan High School, NC; 11. Boston Latin School, MA; 12. (tie) Midlothian High School, VA and Bridge Tutorials, NC; 13. The Walker School, GA; 14. Trinity Preparatory School, FL; 15. St. Joseph’s Academy, LA; 16. Homestead High School, IN; 17. Riverbend High School in Virginia took away the Most Original Publicity Award for their Tear Away Trivia Game used around their school to teach others about the Classics. The Best Print Article Award went to Pennsauken High School in New Jersey for the article, “PHS Represented at National Latin Convention.” Both of these awards were voted at NJCL Convention by the delegates. The Best Publicity Awards was given to The Walker School for helping Emory University with their video to advertise their conference services. This video featured the 61st NJCL Convention at Emory and is shown to any group considering Emory convention services. The top 2 new schools or teachers to this contest were Westminster School, GA and Tucker High School, GA. The top 3 states for percent of chapters entering were: 1. North Carolina; 2. Maine; 3. Indiana. The top 3 states for number of entries were: 1. Georgia; 2. North Carolina; 3. Indiana.
