I’m so honored to be serving as your NJCL Communications Coordinator this year! These past few months have been packed with fulfilling work. I’ve made updates to the NJCL website, compiled a list of State JCL contacts, and taken notes at all board meetings, including the Fall Planning Meeting which was filled with productive work and important logistics for the 2026 Convention. I’ve also been judging the monthly currency points for the website, which I encourage everyone, states and chapters, to submit to!

Currently, I am working on the newsletter (read more on page 32), non-convention contest guides, and a new Story of the Month contest. I’m also compiling footage from the Fall Planning Meeting into an entertaining officer vlog. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out, and I can’t wait to see you all at convention!

Salvete Omnes!

Happy winter! For the past few months, I’ve had the pleasure of reading your submissions to Club-of-the-Month! From the creativity clubs have used to come up with unique activities, to the dedication with which they have approached them, you guys have truly dazzled me! If your club hasn’t submitted yet, check out the C.O.T.M. packet to learn about this year’s theme (ancient geography!) and get some inspiration for ways to incorporate the theme into your club’s activities at https://bit.ly/COTM25-26!

State and local second vice presidents, get excited for monthly discussion questions in the GroupMe. Despite both spirit and service being largely group undertakings, I’ve found that people’s experiences with them tend to be deeply-personal, so I can’t wait to hear (or read, I suppose) your thoughts on both!
