"Salvete omnes!

The TSJCL has been busy, kicking off our five area conventions. In just two short months, the 2026 TSJCL State Convention will take place in San Antonio. Leading up to the state convention, TSJCLers are busy with certamen and our vast opportunity of creative contests and academic testing.

In January, the TSJCL state board met to discuss logistics surrounding the state convention, including the trophy report, anticipated budget, service project, colloquia, registration packet, and judging sheets. We cannot wait to both uphold familiar traditions and instill new fun activities (including Ludi Cricket!) at Sandra Day O’Connor High School.

The TSJCL also kicked off a new online service competition hosted on GoostChase for JCL chapters across Texas, which is running from February 15-April 15, with each month hosting a theme for the scavenger hunt. There are six service activities—February’s theme is 'Community Service' and March’s theme is 'Environmental Wellness.'

Until April, our family of over 2,000 will continue to sharpen their talents before we convene to celebrate them. Cura ut valeas!"

"Salvete omnes!

Hope you all have been staying warm (or at least warmer than us)! The WJCL has been through everything these past few months! Just 15 days ago, we concluded our 68th state convention at our state’s capitol, where not only did we have almost triple the number of candidates in our election, but we also... experienced a huge flood... in the hotel... at 4a.m. Thankfully, the convention ran smoothly after that, especially our service project and Certamen! We are excited for the WJCL’s next chapter with our upcoming board!"
