AGON AND CERTAMEN REPORTS · Fall 2024 · Torch: U.S.

Agon is a fun, low-stakes version of Certamen that explores all things Ancient Greek, including Greek language, mythology, literature, history, life, geography and material culture. This year Agon reached a new acme of 27 teams, featuring players from over 14 states! The growth has been tremendous, the community awesome, and the knowledge ever impressive. After two rounds of prelims, we entered some of our closest semis rounds ever, and had a fantastic finals, crowning for the first time a winning team all from one state. The event was so much fun to run, as always, and we're already thinking about how to get even more students involved next year at Miami University.
