LETTER FROM THE EDITOR · Summer 2024 · Torch: U.S.

I can't believe this is my last solo issue of the Torch: U.S.. It's been an amazing year not only connecting through this publication, but also as your NJCL Editor. I am still in shock that my JCL journey is coming to an end, but I'm so grateful for it all and I wouldn't change a thing.

Sun's out and the weather is getting warmer and warmer, so warm that it's starting to become unbearable. Nevertheless, I hope that this issue can serve as a place of solace even through the chaos that may be the end of school.

Of course, I have a few thanks to give, as usual. Thank you to everyone who submitted — not just this issue, but for any issue this year. It has been a joy to read the variety of aritcles y'all write, the creativity behind each art piece y'all submitted, and laugh through your explanations for each issue's This or That. Thanks to my officers for responding to all my questions and last-minute request when I notice I'm missing something. Last but not least, the biggest thank you goes to Mr. Turner. Thank you for always catching any of my wacky typos and telling me to italcize "Torch: U.S." and write it out completely.

Amici, it has been one of the biggest joys of my life spending all these hours on Joomag creating this publication for you.

Ab imo pectore,

Salvete omnes!
