Spring 2023· Torch: U.S. · OFFICER VOICES
Salvete!
For the past several months, I have been working with Second Vice President Hena Allaqaband to put together a fabulous National Classics Week and Classicalia. Our National Classics Week topic this year is “Classical Reception,” an exploration of how the classics have been interpreted and applied throughout history. The study of the classics and of the Greco-Roman world has served various important functions throughout history, and these examples can illustrate its relevance today. Keep an eye out for our National Classics Week packet!
I am so excited to see you in April at Classicalia and to hear about how your chapters have celebrated National Classics Week!

Howdy Amici!
I hope everyone’s new year has started off with a bang! After individually meeting with all of the officers to discuss their goals for the remainder of their terms, I know that the board has been working hard to prepare for nationals. Between writing my Campaign Corner advice and National Classics Week article, I’ve stayed in touch with state presidents with monthly communication. If you have any questions for me, feel free to reach out at [email protected]. Each month, I have been creating officer report posts on the Instagram page. Go check them out to see what we’ve been up to! I began working on a “New to Nationals” information packet that will have all sorts of helpful tips for people who may be attending convention or even traveling for the first time, so keep your eyes out for that in the near future.
