Salvete, amici:

Mamma Mia, here we go again! I’ve been beyond thrilled to serve my second term here! I've found that, regardless of whatever experiences I've had, there is still so much that I can learn, and I can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Seeing what you all have been up to while I judged the September and October Photo of the Month contests has been a treat, and it is definitely one of the best parts of my job! I highly encourage you to submit to December’s and other future contests (a friendly reminder that you can find the submission form HERE). I’ve also been busy making the website to house the scrapbooks, so stay tuned for more details! For you historians out there, I'll be starting the assembly process for the video scrapbook soon. This means that about every month or so, I'll be asking one of you to submit a short video clip for your state, with a different state for each month.

As we talked about plans for the first in-person national convention in two years during our fall planning meeting, I couldn't help but be giddy at the prospect of seeing you all in the flesh again! We're still working out the exact COVID protocols that we may need, but don't worry; we're ensuring that convention will be both safe and fun next July.

All in all, I couldn't ask for a better start to the year!

Salvete plurimum!

These past few months have truly been exhilarating! I have released several publications before, but releasing the Torch: U.S. has been a wonderful, new experience. Following the release of the Torch: U.S. Fall Edition, I met with my mentor, Mr. Turner, to start planning for this edition. I released the Google Forms and sent emails to all the state officers soon after and began setting up my monthly editor meetings.

We had our first meeting in September followed by another in October. I am beyond excited to see everyone again in December after this publication is released! If you or anyone you know would like to join in on these monthly editor meetings, email me at [email protected]. All current and prospective editors are welcome!

As we close the year, I am excited to work with you all and create another wonderful publication.
