Hello JCLers! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable and rewarding conclusion to the academic year. I want to let you know that I'm brimming with excitement at the thought of seeing you at convention this July. I miss spending time with JCLers (Classicalia was a fantastic way to get some quality time with you all) and reveling in your creativity and determination. My fellow officers and I – as well as the always lovely, supportive, and amazing NJCL committee – have been doing a lot of work to make convention a fun and engaging prospect, and I urge (with much care!) you to register at njcl.org as soon as possible. In addition to prepping for convention, I've also been holding meetings regarding NJCL's status as a welcoming place for people of all backgrounds. You'll hear more about this at convention, but I have an exciting new opportunity that I've developed with the help of my officers, the committee, and JCLers just like you.

Salvete, amici! I want to start off by expressing just how proud I am of the JCL community this year. From hosting conventions that included multiple different states to doing wonderful service projects for this year’s National Classics Week, you all never cease to amaze me. With many state conventions and the season finale of JCLive behind us, the most exciting thing for any JCLer right now is undoubtedly national convention. Despite being online this year, my fellow NJCL board members and I are determined to make nationals the best it possibly can be. Through the Classicalia event we have already seen how enjoyable national JCL events can be online. I hope everyone enjoyed living through the daily lives of different civilizations through NCW’s theme and that all who attended Classicalia had a fun time. The JCL has always been like a second home to me, and I can’t wait to see the rest of my family at national convention this July!
