Classicalia
I personally want to thank each and every JCLer who attended Classicalia this April. It is no secret that this year, JCL events have taken on a drastically different form, and for many these unprecedented times have led to restrictions on what can be accomplished during a JCL event. Instead of focusing on what COVID has forced us to do, I wanted to instead shift the attention to what new ways the pandemic could let JCLers interact and how to spread the JCL spirit digitally. What started off as the brainchild of the two VPs, Lyndie Reining and me, soon evolved into a full-fledged national event, albeit on a smaller scale timewise than our national convention.
The natural result of this process was Classicalia, a game night of sorts where dozens of JClers from across the country logged in to their computers to play games, like Kahoot!, Scribbl.io, and Among Us. I want to once again thank everyone who helped make Classicalia possible, my fellow national officers, and everyone who took part in the festivities. I hope that all attendees enjoyed the event as much as I did and that Classicalia becomes an annual event where JCLers can experience the awe of nationals simply from their own homes!
