and privilege to have served you for the past year. Thank you all for the memories, friendships, and experien-ces for the past four years!

Salvete mi amici,

When touring the Richmond campus, the realization that NJCL Convention was the very last piece of my high school years struck me, and I honestly wouldn’t

of yourself. I will continue to hold this organization and its members close to my heart for many years. I can never thank you enough for embracing me with open arms and allowing me to give back to JCL after it has done so much for me. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you all, and to keep the JCLove alive even in the midst of a pandemic.

After a long and wild ride from Fargo, North Dakota to the comfort of my computer screen, I can assuredly say that this has been my most unforgettable year in the JCL. To the history books, this might be the most radically different year the NJCL has seen, with the change to a virtual nationals and beyond. Yet, upon closer inspection, I would say that the essence of the JCL and its incredibly vibrant community was still felt all those thousands of miles apart. I have learned a lot this past year, and I have gained a new perspective on how the JCL is run as an organization and as a community of students.

As the rest of my board and I pass on the torch to our successors, we will be reflecting on the impact that the JCL had on our lives and the wonderful people that we met throughout our journey. It has been a great honor

have it any other way. This year occurred unlike any other, and yet the JCLove wasn’t any less present.

The JCL is what you create it to be. In my sophomore year, my Latin teacher, Magis, encouraged me to take risks, passionately invest my time here, and enjoy every moment while it lasts. I offer this same advice to each of you, and hope you come to love this organization as much as I do. As cliché as it sounds, it will all be gone before you know it.

Thank you for my most rewarding moments and favorite memories, some of which even occurred via Zoom in the last couple of weeks. To my fellow board members, words cannot express the respect and love I have for each of you. To the incoming board, I cannot wait to see all you do. And to all JCLers, thank you for the past four years, and I'll see you again in San Diego.

Ab imo pectore,
