Create positive rituals

Rituals keep us safe . Having a flexible but committed approach to personal rituals helps us feel empowered and in control . Try to differentiate your routines and rituals on workdays and the weekend so that you feel the difference between the two . Good rituals should make you feel positive about yourself and should be malleable . If you feel guilty not following a certain routine , then that is a sign that it ' s a negative ritual .

Give yourself a get-up time , limit your social media intake , introduce wellness rituals like drinking a litre or so of water a day , try getting outside at least once , taking a hot shower each day , express self-love by nourishing your body with nutritious food , use a hand cream that smells nostalgic . Try to connect in a meaningful way with yourself each day : this might look like asking yourself how am I actually feeling and what do I need right now ? Perhaps this is part of your morning ritual .
