The Jim Corbett National Park in the state of Uttarakhand is highly visited North
India tourist destination. It is one of the oldest national parks in the country and
has been named after Jim Corbett. The total area of the Park is about 530.8
square km that covers hills, the Ramganga River, lakes and grasslands. During Jim
Corbett adventure tour the common sightings here are the sambhar deer, chital,
langurs, Himalayan black bears, elephants, leopards, eagles, birds of different
species, domestic fowls, reptiles and the Bengal tiger. The Park has enough places
for accommodating tourists. The nearest railway station is Ramnagar at a distance
of 12 kms from the Park. It is well linked by roads and highways from nearby
states.
