2013 ended on a high for JTL with our Regional Awards (pg
8). Some winners, like Tom Hyland and Ely Davies (pg 7) are
notable high-achievers. Tom’s just returned from Australia having
taken part in the Overseas Apprentice Exchange Programme
we run with the JIB, the ECA and Unite the Union, and Ely has
started her own business. The JTL National Awards are taking
place this February at the Tower of London where the overall
winner will be revealed. Who has your vote?

On the job with:
Power Logistics
Greetings from Tooled Up. What a year it’s been. The economy
looks to be finally turning around (albeit very slowly) which is
good news for new jobs in the sector and the industry at large.
It looks like we’ll be facing a shortage of gas-qualified engineers
and JTL is funding employers to the tune of £800 to help certain
apprentices get on to the Gas Safe Register (pg 10).
