WIRETAP RIFF RECORDER The newest addition to the TC pedal lineup is the WireTap, a fun-sized stompbox designed to function like a pedalboard-mounted notepad for cataloging riffs and song ideas. Just hit the true bypass stomp switch at the moment the inspiration strikes, and you’re in business. The WireTap will record up to eight hours of rock ‘n’ roll magic in 24-bit uncompressed audio, suitable for easy transfer straight to a DAW for further recording and embellishments. The pedal is married to an app for iOS or Android, the WireTap App, which allows the user to transfer riffs from the pedal to a smart phone via the unfathomable modern miracle of Bluetooth. From there the app can be used to trim, tag, group, and share said riffs, and it can even be used as a remote control for the hardware. All in all, the whole package is rather splendid, and the WireTap should appeal to any guitarist, bass player , or other song creator that could benefit from a more streamlined method of documenting, cataloging, and sharing musical ideas on the fly.  16 TONE TALK // TC Electronic’s 2016 Industry Takeover
