“When it snows, you
have two choices:
shovel or make
snow angels!”
Hiking, Cross Country
Skiing & Snowshoeing
We have a number of trails to explore on
foot, by snowshoe or by cross country
ski in the area. Take some time to enjoy
nature's beauty in the quiet of the for-
ests and trails.
Wildlife is still active in our area through
fall and winter. Watch for whitetail deer,
fox, turkey, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Eagles,
Hawks, and others. If you are lucky, you
may hear an elk bugle.
Trails in this area are generally gentle and
flat. If you make your way to Mill Bluff State
Park, you'll be able to climb the stairs to the
top of the bluff overlooking the rolling hills sur-
rounding the park. If you head to the Necedah
Wildlife Refuge, you can enjoy both wooded trails
and marsh trails.
