On the following pages are the strategic initiatives that composed the 2021 strategic plan , grouped by the result that they support , with some information on their status or completion during 2021 . In some years , such as 2021 , not all nine of the results have initiatives associated with them , and some strategic initiatives take more than one year to complete . Safety
Continue the installation of lighting projects along collector and arterial roadways
The Town completed the installation of roadway lighting along sections of South Delaware Boulevard , North Delaware Boulevard , Jupiter Park Drive , Jupiter Lakes Boulevard , Maplewood Drive and Heights Boulevard . The Town also completed its construction along Toney Penna Drive , Bush Road and a portion of Old Dixie North as well as North Pennock Street and is awaiting the installation of light poles and conductors by FPL .
Prepare for the introduction of high-speed rail through the Town of Jupiter by investigating and advocating for appropriate safety measures
Staff attended a field diagnostic meeting and review of intersection improvements performed by Brightline . Brightline completed improvements to intersections at Center Street , Indiantown Road , Toney Penna Drive and Frederick Small Road but has not completed work at Riverside Drive . Work continued on the Loxahatchee Bridge improvements . The The Town is awaiting completion of intersection improvements at Riverside Drive to begin applying for quiet zones . All intersection improvements must be complete before the application process can begin . The Town has regularly shared closure and construction information on the Town website , social media sites and through emails in order to lessen the impacts to residents and businesses .

Police Vehicle Purchase
Purchased 10 police vehicles with funds from the Capital Improvement Program ( CIP ).
Cybersecurity Approved a contract for cybersecurity managed detection and response services .
Security Camera Replacement at Jupiter Community Center Replaced and upgraded the security cameras at the Jupiter Community Center .
Ensure the completion of East Indiantown Road from U . S . 1 to A1A ( see # 27 on page 13 )
At the January 4 , 2022 Town Council meeting , Council voted to put the project on hold due to rising construction costs , lead times and potential traffic conflicts with the U . S . 1 Bridge detour plans .
Town Receives $ 7.5 Million from the American Rescue Plan ( ARPA ) Funding Bill
The Town of Jupiter received $ 7.5 million from the American Rescue Plan Funding Bill signed in March 2021 . The first payment of the funding , in the amount of $ 3,795,479 , was received in May 2021 and the remainder of the funding will be received in 2022 .
Town Council approved using $ 3,499,869 of the initial payment of funds for the Seminole Avenue Stormwater Basin Improvements project , specifically for the construction of the Juno Street Stormwater Pump Station . This project will alleviate flooding in the Seminole Basin and enhance the quality of stormwater discharged to the Loxahatchee River and the Intracoastal Waterway .
