GMercyU’s volleyball team reached the postseason
for the first time in 12 years, securing a needed win
in its last regular season game against Immaculata
University. The Griffins fell short in the first round of
the Atlantic East Tournament, losing to Marywood
University 3-1. The loss marked the last game for the
team’s three seniors; Natalie Danze, Kerry McGlinn,
and Liz Schule. All three seniors will leave the program
in the record books. Schule is tied for third in aces
(172), fourth in block assists (62), and fifth in kills
(624). McGlinn’s assist totals rank her fourth all-time
(1,238) and Danze nearly averaged a service ace while
playing in just 41 contests.
