MEN ’ S BASKETBALL The Griffins concluded their season with a 14-13 overall record and a 7-5 record in the AEC . Freshman D . J . Johnson and junior Manny Clark earned the 2022-2023 City of Basketball Love ( CoBL ) -Area Division III Men ’ s Basketball Awards . Johnson garnered AEC Rookie of the Year while Clark earned All-AEC First Team Honors , including several AEC Weekly Honor Roll appearances .
MEN ’ S SOCCER The Griffins earned an overall record of 1-16-1 and an AEC record of 0-6 . Senior Hugh Lynch was named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll after his performance against FDU-Florham . Kasey Wallace , sophomore midfielder , completed the season with team highs in goals and points , and ranked third in shots . Sophomore goalkeeper Shaine Kirby earned a career-high of 18 saves against Marywood University . WOMEN ’ S BASKETBALL The Women ’ s Basketball team rounded out their season with an overall record of 15-11 and an AEC record of 8-4 , earning the # 2 seed in the AEC Championship Tournament . Seniors Haley Crossley and Elise Sylvester each reached 1,000 career points , earned All-AEC First Team honors , and 2022-2023 CoBL Women ’ s Basketball Awards . Crossley earned AEC Defensive Player of the Week three times while Sylvester earned AEC Offensive Player of the Week twice .
MEN ’ S TRACK & FIELD The Griffins ’ success was led by junior Branden Soubik , earning the AEC Men ’ s Track Athlete and Rookie of the Year for his performance in the 200-meter , 100-meter , and 400-meter . Juniors Melvin Matthew and Karam Aldarwich joined Soubik on the All- AEC roster for their performance in the 110-meter hurdles and the 3,000-meter steeplechase . Their performance combined counted for 44 of 56 points the Griffins earned , placing them in third place at the AEC Men ’ s Track & Field Championship Meet .
