MEN ’ S CROSS COUNTRY GMercyU ’ s Men ’ s Cross Country team finished in fourth place at the Atlantic East Conference ( AEC ) Championship Meet and senior Thomas Balla earned All-AEC Second Team honors . The 2022 season concluded with GMercyU placing 24 th in the 8K race at the NCAA DIII Mideast Regional Championship Meet . Senior Thomas Balla , junior Karam Aldarwich , and first-year Sebastian DeSimone finished in the top 150 .
VOLLEYBALL The team concluded their season with an 8-18 overall record and an AEC record of 2-4 . The Griffins earned the 5 th seed in the AEC , losing to Marywood University in the quarterfinals . Juniors Ashley Brown and Aybria Purnell earned their second straight All-AEC laurels this season . Senior libero Ashley Morris recorded her 1,000 th career dig at a match against Rutgers-Newark in October .
WOMEN ’ S CROSS COUNTRY The Women ’ s Cross Country team finished out the season placing third in the AEC Championship Meet . Seniors Alicia Bennett , Kristen Dougher , and Keely Greene all earned All-AEC Second Team honors . The 2022 season ended at the NCAA DIII Metro Regional Championship Meet , where GMercyU placed 23 rd in the 6K run .

FIELD HOCKEY The Griffins earned the # 4 seed for the AEC Field Hockey Championship Tournament against Immaculata University , but fell to the Mighty Macs in double overtime 1-0 . The team ended their season with an overall record of 7-10 and a 3-3 record in the AEC . Sophomore Cheyenne Avellino earned All-AEC Second Team honors while graduate Kaci Murray and senior Alexis Schambers earned First Team laurels .
WOMEN ’ S SOCCER GMercyU ’ s Women ’ s Soccer team finished their season with an overall record of 2-12-3 and an AEC record of 0-6 . First-year Dakota Fryns earned an AEC Weekly Honor Roll appearance after scoring her first collegiate goal . Bethany Beinlich , first-year forward , celebrated a hat trick during a game against Valley Forge . First-year goalkeeper Madisson Ronn set a single-season program record with 163 saves and an average of 10.87 saves per game , leading her to the top total saves in the AEC .
