IBX FOUNDATION HEALTHCARE SCHOLARS PROGRAM
BSN students Aja Foster ’ 27 and Amanda De La Rosa ’ 27 received a four-year scholarship to GMercyU through The Independence Blue Cross ( IBX ) Foundation Healthcare Scholars program . The program is designed to create an education pathway for underrepresented groups who wish to become nurses by providing four- or two-year scholarships to students pursuing a bachelor ’ s or associate degree in nursing .
RESPIRATORY CARE EARNS SECOND PRESTIGIOUS AWARD GMercyU ’ s Respiratory Care program was recognized with the 2023-2024 American Association for Respiratory Care ( AARC ) APEX Award . The program was also recognized with The President ’ s Award for Excellence in Credentialing Success , awarded by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care ( CoARC ). The award was given to schools that achieved a 100 % pass rate on the Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) exam from 2019 to 2021 .
