MEN ’ S CROSS COUNTRY Dynamic duo Thomas Balla and Sean Morris led the Griffins in the 2021 AEC Men ’ s Cross Country Championship this fall . Both student-athletes earned allleague honors , with Balla as an All-AEC First Team and Morris as an All-AEC Second Team . The pair led GMercyU to finish in second place just behind Marywood University .
MEN ’ S SOCCER GMercyU served as the 7 th seed for the 2021 AEC Tournament against Immaculata University . Senior captain Hugh Lynch led the team statistically , but the Griffins ultimately fell to the Mighty Macs . The Griffins finished with a 1-18 record and a 0-6 AEC standing . GMercyU lost to the Marywood Pacers as they recognized seniors Joe Duffy , Eduardo Moreno , Hugh Lynch , Ray Ricci , Antonio Catanzariti , Tyler Bascone , Kevin Hanuscin , and Mike Kerkering .
WOMEN ’ S SOCCER The Griffins concluded their season with a 4-11 record and a 0-6 AEC standing under the direction of first-year Head Coach Mike Nelms . In the first round of playoffs , GMercyU served as the 7 th seed as they faced the Cabrini Cavaliers and lost 2-0 . Seniors Laura Pelczar , Nicolette Conway , Brianna McDonald , Carissa Manero , Haleigh Kaufmann , Megan Crammer , and Alexis Myers were celebrated on their Senior Day against Centenary University .
