Survey Reports 97 % of Recent GMercyU Graduates Are Employed or in Grad School
Every year , Gwynedd Mercy University ’ s Career Development Center conducts a survey of recent graduates to learn their post-graduation career status .
According to the Career Outcomes Survey for graduating classes in August 2020 , December 2020 and May 2021 , 97 % of the respondents were either employed or attending graduate school approximately four to six months after graduation .

Data for the survey was gathered from individual graduates , online sources , and faculty . These methods of reporting outcome data follow the guidelines established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers ( NACE ).
Moving the Needle on Student Success
This fall , GMercyU partnered with consultant Credo to launch a University-wide student success and retention initiative called “ Moving the Needle ” ( MTN ). Together , they will create a comprehensive student success strategic plan to improve student success and retention .
The project is led by Mary Van Brunt , PhD , Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs , who serves as the MTN Campus Project Lead , and Meredith Hoch , EdD , Dean of Student Success , who is serving as project manager .
Based on assessment data , the program will focus on four areas . Working groups of faculty and staff will assess and make recommendations on the following student experiences :
• Start-Ready Process
• Advising Experience
• Residential / Commuter Experience
• First-Year Experience
A multi-year endeavor , MTN will ensure that students are set up for success at every stage of their GMercyU journey .
